Cory Heydon
Cory, a native Montanan, began playing piano at age six. Later he learned guitar and began developing the style of music for which he is now recognized. He lived in Austin, San Diego, and Nashville, playing the clubs and coffeehouses of these three musically thriving cities. Since then he has performed as a Guest Entertainer for Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian cruise lines.
Cory has played the club circuit around the Pacific Northwest for eight years, as well as touring in Europe. He has shared the stage with such names a Michael Martin Murphy, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Greg Brown, Matt “Guitar Murphy, Greg Kihn, Hot Tuna John Gorka, and Pierce Pettis. As well as receiving the “Best Local Musician” award by the Missoula Independent, and “#1 CD ” by the Missoulian Entertainer. He has won several other awards for songwriting, and performing.
He now resides in Key West, and balances his time between performing and writing.
When asked what style of music Cory plays he relied “Anything from Cole Porter to Led Zeppelin, music to make people smile.” His original songs are written with a wit and humor that all appreciate.
